Derek Strange serves as Director of Fund Finance and Risk Management at Elevation Financial Group, where he plays a critical role in supporting the company's strategic decision-making around fund strategy, return optimization, and risk mitigation. In this capacity, Derek manages real-time fund cash flow projections, prepares lender draws for both operations and development, leads lender correspondence to ensure ongoing compliance, and provides strategic fund guidance aligned with the firm's return and risk objectives.

Prior to joining Elevation, Derek built a distinguished 12-year career in Commercial Loan Servicing, most recently as a Senior Account Manager at KeyBank Real Estate Capital. In that role, he maintained direct oversight of a $2.5 billion commercial real estate portfolio serving a diverse roster of high-profile lender and borrower clients — experience that sharpened his expertise in loan compliance, risk management, financial analysis, and client relations.

Derek holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Kansas State University. A native of Wichita, Kansas, he now proudly calls Kansas City, Missouri home, where he resides with his wife, Ginny, and their dog, Phoebe. Outside of work, Derek enjoys time with friends and family and is an avid sports fan and concertgoer.
